Hello and welcome!
Raising Paws began as a foster home for kittens (and their mamas). Being a cat parent and wanting to raise well behaved foster kittens, I began taking a deep dive into all things feline from basic care to behavior to training. I’ve since become a member of the IABBC and have been taking courses in feline behavior and behavior consulting, I am Fear Free Shelter Certified, Low Stress Handling (University) Certified, and am continually attending seminars and conferences in order to expand and apply my knowledge base.
Through Raising Paws I hope to help the feline community as a whole shift away from the mindset that cats are simple, low maintenance, and aloof. They are in fact quite complex, have several basic needs that when met can prevent the majority of common behavioral issues, and they wish to have their consent respected just like any other being.
Raising Paws will create and share resources to help feline caregivers provide the training, socialization, and enrichment that will help their kittos live the good life!
